Conflict: Global Storm Premieres at E3

Friday, 27th May, 2005 - Conflict: Global Storm

Premiering at the world's largest electronic entertainment show, Conflict: Global Storm created a real splash. It was on multiple stands, including those of SCi, Take 2 and Microsoft. It was also included in a video of the top 20 'must-have' titles for this year at the launch party for the Xbox 360. This is the biggest presence any Conflict game has ever had at this show and is a real indication that the best just got better!

The online game is also going down a real storm with everybody who has been play-testing it. It's a real scream to play Conflict: Global Storm in this mode, and we know you are just going to love this!

We are in the final stages of bug-fixing, so it's not long now to the launch of the next instalment in the series which has defined the squad-based combat genre.

Pivotal Games 5th Birthday!

Sunday, 24th April, 2005 - Studio

Pivotal Games celebrates its 5th birthday - at least, we would if we weren't so busy finishing our next successful game, Conflict: Global Storm.

Yes, Pivotal is five years old and it's been an exciting and incredible five years. There were only 15 of us when we started, with no money and no publishing deal, just some great ideas and a loyal, dedicated and talented team. Since then we've become one of the most successful British games developers and we're very proud of what we've achieved. We have over 75 staff, we've released four chart-topping games, which have sold over six million units worldwide, and have firmly established the Conflict franchise. Every title has reached Number One, which is unprecedented in the games industry. In the inaugural Develop Industry Excellence Awards in 2003, we received the award for Best New Studio. We've maintained a close and good relationship with SCi over the years and look forward to working on many more successful titles with them. Most importantly of all, our aim is to keep creating the sort of high-quality, cutting-edge games you, like us, want to play. So, Happy Birthday Pivotal Games and many thanks to our staff - we couldn't have done it without them. And this is just the beginning!

Conflict: Global Storm Update

Friday, 4th March, 2005 - Conflict: Global Storm

Conflict: Global Storm is the fourth game in the Conflict series. This time our squad-based combat game has broadened it's scope beyond the deserts of Iraq and the jungles of Vietnam to greatly varied locations around the world.

Conflict: Global Storm builds upon the strengths of the previous titles to deliver the most exhilarating combat model seen to date. Every area has been improved, from the exceptional AI, through to the excellent graphics and design. This has all been made possible through the use of our new engine, which helps to push the current generation of machines to their technical limits. cgs is a really rounded product that has real depth in terms of the tactical possibilities, yet has the slickest and easiest control system of any combat game in the genre.

At last, as has been revealed in the press, we are about to deliver what you have been clamouring for: a full, online co-operative mode. Conflict was born for this feature and using our considerable experience in this area of development we have created a truly involving experience that is great fun to play.

There is real pride in the studio about what is being delivered with this product. This game will appeal to both existing fans of the Conflict series, and will also bring in new recruits with its great gameplay, fantastic AI and amazing graphics. This game marks a new high point for Pivotal Games, plainly demonstrating our highest production values yet. You will not be disappointed, Conflict: Global Storm is an exceptional game!
