Conflict Name Change
Wednesday, 31st August, 2005 - Conflict: Global Storm
Eidos Interactive Ltd, part of SCi Entertainment Group Plc, today announces that the forthcoming fourth instalment of its best selling Conflict series will now be called Conflict: Global Storm.
It will be released on 30 September 2024 on PlayStation 2, Microsoft Xbox and PC.
Conflict: Global Storm brings the series into the 21st century. Using a 100% rebuilt engine, it boasts radically enhanced graphics, hi-tech weaponry and is a clear generation above previous instalments.
The action focuses on an elite rapid response Special Forces unit, re-uniting the four original members of the Desert Storm series, who must overcome fictitious far right neo Nazi terrorists over many different countries including; Columbia, Kashmir and South Korea.
It is fourth title in the best-selling series, developed by Bath-based Pivotal Games which to date has sold over six million units world wide.

Friday, 27th May, 2005 - Conflict: Global Storm
Premiering at the world's largest electronic entertainment show, Conflict: Global Storm created a real splash. It was on multiple stands, including those of SCi, Take 2 and Microsoft. It was also included in a video of the top 20 'must-have' titles for this year at the launch party for the Xbox 360. This is the biggest presence any Conflict game has ever had at this show and is a real indication that the best just got better!

The online game is also going down a real storm with everybody who has been play-testing it. It's a real scream to play Conflict: Global Storm in this mode, and we know you are just going to love this!
We are in the final stages of bug-fixing, so it's not long now to the launch of the next instalment in the series which has defined the squad-based combat genre.
